Donate to Hillview

Hillview relies on supportive friends to bridge the gap between our government funding and our desire to help our stable clients achieve their goals. We encourage clients in advanced stages of recovery to pursue personal accomplishments, such as returning to school, applying for jobs and setting up households. To speed our clients’ success, we have created an “Opportunities Fund” to buy such necessary items as textbooks, clothing for job interviews and kitchen basics.

You can help Hillview and its clients achieve wellness goals by making a contribution in one or more of the follows ways:

Ask your employer about providing a Matching Gift

If your employer has a matching gifts program, your company may match your donations to Hillview.

Become a patron of Hillview art: “Buy” a decorative tile

The colorful glass and porcelain tesserae mosaic tiles set in the reception area of the Carl C. McCraven Treatment Center are available for “adoption” at $400 each. If you would like to celebrate, honor or memorialize a loved one or friend by “owning” a tile at Hillview, please contact Sande Weiss at (818) 896-1161 Ext. 218. Art of Hillview

Join a Ralphs or Food4Less Community Contribution Program

When you enroll in the Ralphs Community Contribution Program and swipe your Ralphs Club Card, Ralphs automatically donates cash to Hillview Mental Health Center – at no cost to you!

Here’s how:
If you already have a Ralphs Club Card, go to the website www.ralphs.com. Click on “Services” and then “Community Contribution.” Scroll down and click on “enroll.” Follow the prompts. Hillview’s NPO Number is 84022.

To join the Ralphs Club Card program — and get discounts on groceries — ask any Ralphs cashier for an application. Be sure to swipe your card or enter your phone number at checkout each time you shop.

Ralphs is a division of The Kroger Co. Food4Less, another local Kroger supermarket chain, also makes donations to non-profits organizations. Food4Less shoppers can get a Community Rewards Card application from Sande Weiss, Hillview Director of Community Relations: (818) 896-1161 Ext. 218.

Ask your financial consultant about tax-advantaged donations.

Contribute In-Kind gifts to the Hillview “Clothes Closet.”

Hillview Village residents augment their wardrobes from donations of clean, gently used outerwear, nightwear, shoes, accessories, and more. The client-run “Clothes Closet” is particularly important to people coming to the Village from shelters and to clients whose housing and living expenses take so much of their money. To donate, contact Director of Community Relations Sande Weiss, (818) 896-1161 Ext. 218.
